What Is an Alpha Male?

Through the years, there has been much talk about seduction and the elusive alpha male state. To be exact, successful seduction has often been linked with being the alpha male. Looking at some present forum posts and blogs however, it is obvious that some people have doubts about the existence of the alpha male state. Some say that it is not something that is real but a mere mental construct. Some may have this notion simply because they don’t really understand what it means to be an alpha male. Let’s begin the enlightenment process by looking at what the alpha male is not.

What It Is Not

The alpha male is not some muscular, extremely handsome and physically strong brute. This is at least, not a description of a human alpha male. It may be true that among apes and other animals, the alpha male of the group is the one who is the strongest and the biggest. Among the human specie, however, the alpha male takes on a slightly different shade.

What It Is

A human alpha male is one who is:

• physically, mentally and emotionally stable - This does not mean that a human alpha male should be someone who is an accomplished yoga guru who is also physically well endowed and extremely intelligent. Stability means that the alpha male has no debilitating psychological hang-ups and no pending issue with a controlling mother. The alpha male is also someone who is not mentally incapable of pursuing average intellectual discussions.
  
  
• physically conscious in the right way - It is not true that women are only attracted to men who look rich and dress expensively. The alpha male however should not neglect to check that growing paunch, those yellowing teeth and those ageing clothes. Once in a while, the true alpha male takes a good look at the mirror and invests on a basic makeover.
  
  
• diligent with his financial projects - The modern alpha male also need not have very deep pockets. Every man however, should have plans and prospects for the future. Being on the alpha level means that you should at least have some savings or some growing investments. You can even be just an average Joe but still be an alpha male at the same time by simply making sure that your future will be financially secure.

The Alpha Male And Seduction

The fundamental question still stands. What does being an alpha male have to do with being a great seducer? It all has something to do with having all the right qualities to attract those gorgeous females.

Let’s not mince words here. We may be more evolved than our primitive ape cousins but females are still unconsciously out looking for the best. They may no longer be after the big strong brute like their female ape ancestors were, but they are still after the strongest male in other aspects.

Look back at the different qualities of a modern alpha male as outlined above. If you try to study it closely, it all simply translates to modern male strength. A man who is physically, mentally, emotionally and financially healthy is a strong and attractive man. In other words, he is a modern alpha male and a potentially successful seducer.
